My Bad Day...Not As Bad As Others

The good thing about bad days is sometimes they happen all at once and you get them out of the way for a while. I hope so, anyway. After today's giggles and grins at the doctor's office and the college, Liz and I decided to have dinner together after her meeting with the other organizers of the Reno Film Festival. She's the volunteer coordinator and they love her up there, just like everyone else who works with her. But she's mine. Mua ha ha.

Back to the story. She called from the Geiger Grade and said she was on the way to Wendys, so I hopped on the bike and booked on up Mountain, Winnie, Carson. She got there about 10-15 minutes later, we went in, and I realized my regular glasses weren't in my pocket. Since I always keep them with me when I wear my prescription sunglasses, they must have fallen out of my pocket on the trip up. We looked around the parking lot and the truck, and tore the house apart, but they're gone. My eyes haven't changed since the early 90's, so my backup pair of glasses look more appropriate for Harry Potter than the 21st century. We're heading up to Lenscrafters in Reno tomorrow, probably with me cussing the entire time.

And I broke my water bottle.

A quick scan of the internet reminded me that in the grand scheme of reality, things could have been much worse, especially compared to the natural and human disaster down south. The next sound you hear is me sucking it up and shutting it up.

Edit: After reassessment and a night's sleep, and on a scale of zero (a normal day in Carson) and ten (LA/AL/MS during and after the hurricane), I had a 2. (Since I tend to exaggerate things, it was probably a 1, but we'll go with a 2.)

Distance: 2.40 miles
Time: 00:15:09 minutes
46 Days Until the USN
